Maeve (she/her) is an actor, writer, director, and co-founder of TART Theatre Collective. She has a rich performance history in circus, completed an apprenticeship with the QLD Shakespeare Ensemble, and is a BFA Acting graduate from QUT. In the final year of her studies, she received the Jennifer Blocksidge Memorial Award, allowing her to train with Shakespeare and Company (MA, USA) post-graduation.

As an actor, she most recently starred as Terra in the critically acclaimed Starweaver (Madness of Two/State Theatre Company South Australia). Other recent credits include Alannah Devlin in the Australian premiere of Crocodile Fever (TART) and the lead in award winning short film ‘Ballad’ (Dir. Roe Bonnici, Winner: Best Short Film - LA LGBTQ+ Film Festival), the title role in ‘Anna Bella Eema’ (Dir. Anja Homburg), Mercutio in ‘Romeo and Juliet’ (Fresh Theatre), immersive theatre/cinema experience FBI (Underground Cinema) and lead in TikTok series ‘Camera Shy’. Her original show ‘Ladies Write Letters of Lemony Love’ debuted at Digital Melbourne Fringe 2020, and was one of Broadsheet’s top five picks for the fringe.

Maeve’s directing work has been seen nationally and internationally with new work POLES: The Science of Magnetic Attraction (Premiere, Australian fringes tour and award-nominated Edinburgh Fringe season, 2022). She most recently directed devised physical theatre work “Back Pocket” (TART), and has previously worked on Cygnets (The Liminal Space - Assistant Director) and Body Uncertain (Movement Director). Maeve was a chosen playwright for ATYP’s Emerging Playwrights National Studio.
